News & Updates: Updates to G-Cans Tour Pages

Updates to G-Cans (Underground Flood Tour) Packages

Thank you very much for visiting tour-hiro.com.

Since updating the main page at the end of August to highlight full package tours, the G-Cans (Metropolitan Area Outer Underground Discharge Channel) tours have been the most popular inquiries!

To provide a clearer and smoother experience for guests, I have made several updates to the G-Cans tour pages:

1. Updated Terminology: “Underground Temple”

I have officially updated the tour description from Underground Shrine to Underground Temple. This change aligns with the terminology used on the official site and better reflects the widely recognized nickname for this extraordinary engineering marvel.

2. Clear & Transparent Pricing

Because each tour course offers a different duration and depth of experience, I have clearly outlined fixed rates for each option:

  • 55-Minute Course: ¥16,500
  • 110-Minute Course: ¥20,000
  • 240-Minute Course: ¥25,000

3. Schedule & Advance Booking Information

If you would like to check availability up to 6 months in advance, please refer to the Group Booking (団体予約) page on the official facility website. It displays the advance schedule and opening dates, which can be helpful when planning your trip.

4. Richer Background & History

I have added more detailed information regarding the origin of the name G-Cans, as well as the fascinating history and engineering behind the world’s largest underground flood control facility.

Feel free to check out the updated tour options on the main page. I look forward to guiding you through one of Japan’s most impressive modern wonders!
