Drawing in three million visitors annually, this mountain not only boasts natural beauty but also houses the venerable temple, Yakuoin, nestled midway up, offering a glimpse of spiritual serenity. With well-maintained hiking trails and the convenience of cable cars and lifts, the ascent to the summit caters to varying levels of fitness. From the mountaintop, you can enjoy panoramic views stretching from the skyscrapers of Tokyo to Yokohama, and even catch a glimpse of majestic Mount Fuji.

Schedule

10:00 AM Meet at Shinjuku Station

  • From Shinjuku Station to Takaosan-guchi Station on the Keio Line (55 minutes/430 yen)

11:10 AM Start walking or take the cable car ( one way is 480 yen, and round trip is 930 yen) ascend

12:30 PM Lunch at the summit

3:00 PM Tour concludes at Takaosan-guchi Station

<Note>

  • I accommodate guest preferences regarding whether to use the cable car and which course to take.
  • If you wish to have a pick-up service at the hotel, there will be an additional fee of 4,000 yen. Please let me know if you would like to avail of this service.
  • Please arrange your own lunches. There are several small restaurants at the summit where you can dine if you prefer. The guide’s meal expenses are included in the guide fee.
